What is the cost for a typical Safari?
  1. Red Centre Safari. 14 days. $1400.
  2. East Coast Safari. 12 days. $1300.
  3. Rock & Reef Centre Safari. 22 days. $2550.

What is included in the price?
  1. All coach travel, camping fees, accommodation costs, admissions and quality attractions as shown in the itinerary.
  2. Almost all meals.
  3. Use of camping equipment (2 person tents, bedrolls, stools, tables).
  4. Students will only need limited funds during the Safari.

What will the weather be like?
  1. Our Safaris travel through various climate zones.
  2. Temperature differences between day and night can be extreme in the outback.

What do you have to bring on Safari?
  1. Pack wisely and choose clothes that are comfortable for traveling, and can be layered. The days will most likely be warm, but the evenings can be cool, so pack a warm jacket and wet weather clothing.
  2. Students must supply a sleeping bag (rated to -2°C) and a pillow (these can be supplied at an additional charge).
  3. Eating utensils, plate, cup etc. (these can be supplied at an additional charge).
  4. Toiletries and other personal items (books, CDs, etc.).
  5. The luggage allowance is 20 kg.

What kind of food do you serve?
  1. Meals provided will be wholesome and of fresh ingredients as far as practicable under the circumstances of operating in outback Australia,
  2. Breakfast will consist of a minimum of 3 cereals and toast with a selection of spreads, tea and coffee. Variation by addition of fruit juice or a hot course is made from time to time, allowing for the demands of the itinerary.
  3. Lunch normally consists of a selection of salads, cold cuts, bread, appropriate condiments, fresh fruit and cold fruit cordial. There will be times when hamburgers, hot dogs etc. will be offered.
  4. Dinner is three courses: soup or cheese and biscuits or the like, followed by a main course such as lasagne, curry, spaghetti bolognaise, apricot chicken, BBQ reef fish fillets, pork chops, ham steaks, stir fry combination served with salads, rice or vegetables. Vegetarian or reasonable special dietary requirements can be accommodated.
  5. Desserts vary from simple tinned fruits and ice cream through danish pastries to cheese cake, fresh fruit salad, trifle etc.
  6. Tea, coffee and cordial is available at dinner time - and at most other times when the kitchen is set up.

Can I design my own safari?
  1. YES! - we can incorporate many other elements in our Safaris. Canberra, the Goldfields, Melbourne, Kakadu, Cairns and the Tropical North etc.
